Tasting Notes: Coming from the beautiful Amador Country the Shake Ridge Vineyard straddles a ridgeway at roughly 1,700 feet and consists of 46-acres of vines. The Shake Ridge Ranch Red, also affectionately known as the "Hill of Thunder", is a rich blend of Petite Sirah, Primitivo, and Zinfandel. Giving off a deep dark plum color in the glass, the 2021 vintage opens with notes of macerated red fruits and baking spices. On the palate, more subtle red fruit notes give way to an elegant mix of clove and vanilla supported by firm but fine tannin.
